I believe I only need an oil change for the gearbox?? My mechatronic unit has had a recall last year (prior to me owning the car) so thats a good thing. Its a MK7 2013 Golf TSI (S and I in red colours on the badge) i believe this is the 150HP engine 1.4l single turbo with DSG DQ200 clutch.
Wipe the transmission where the oil pan and filter mate to it. Put some clean ATF on the new cork filter and install it. Tighten the filter bolts to 7 newton meters. New filter installed: Put the new gasket on the oil pan, including the metal spacers in the holes, and rub some clean ATF on it, then bolt it in place.

GEARBOX CODE DQ250 - (02E/0D9) - 6 Speed DSG/S-tronic. Your DSG gearbox is a very sophisticated piece of engineering that needs to be looked after with regular oil changes. The smooth 2-clutch system is computer controlled with very fine engineering tolerances. If the gearbox oil is dirty, it will damage other parts and affect performance.
The 1.4 has a different DSG (DQ200 with dry clutches) to the ones fitted to Golf Rs (DQ250 or DQ381 with wet clutches). I would be very surprised if the DSG doesn't need regular oil changes (and maybe a filter as well). After a bit of research it seems VW claim they don't need an oil change (ever !) but some people think every 120,000km is MK5 GTI 2.0t FSI - 6 Speed Manual - Service Parts. MK5 GTI 2.0t FSI - 6 Speed DSG- Service Parts. What Oil weight do I need to use in my VW 2.0t FSI GTI? On most VW models, including the MK5 GTI, Oil weight (ie 5W40) is not as important as oil spec. VW has specific oil spec requirments that must be met to be a valid oil.
Install the special adaptor, and connect your fluid transfer pump to it, and start pumping the new fluid in. Pump in 5.5 liters before starting the car. Leave your fluid transfer pump and tool in at this point, and then check the level. Fill tool inserted, time to fill. Get in the cabin and start the car.
Followed the procedures for the DSG oil change! I filled up with 5.5L. I went through the gears P R N D S for the required time at 36C temp. In every gears was 10-15 sec! At 37C I went to open the drain plug, from 5.5l came out 1L! But the oil came strongly after 1l, so I closed it! It is 4.5l now, but it is going strong if I open it! This is 10 posts · Joined 2016. #5 · Apr 11, 2017. for sure 6 speed DSG service is required every 40000 miles , as the clutch is cooled within the same oil path and a lot of particles will be there and can affect other gear component, while for 7 speed dry clutch the situation is different , the clutch is dry so the oil should be kept clean at least oJA1.
