Shame. But yea something about the SSD is effecting Syndicate. I don't understand how it doesn't effect the others tho. In fact AC Odyssey is my least favorite one but I recently transferred the game over to my PS5 from an External HDD and now it's incredible. Higher resolution, 60fps, and really fast load times.
Anyway, I saw the PS5 got a patch to run it at 60 fps and I’m blown away. Absolutely beautiful game, looks amazing, feels & looks better than Valhalla with the silky smooth frames & better audio mixing. I’ve binged level 1-45 in the last week, really enjoying taking my time exploring this amazing world. Odyssey runs far better on PS5 than on PC. Still, I don't really care, as the PS5 is my choice for gaming. PC hardware is ridiculously expensive and the majority of newest games run like crap compared to consoles anyway. I've paid £480 for my PS5, which isn't even a fraction of what I'd pay for a PC able to run Mirage for example.
60fps is good, but they need to find a way to patch in better load times on PS5. I know that’s not how it works, but Odyssey’s load times were terrible. A little better on PS5, but still not great. They can't. That would only be possible with a proper PS5 version but any games running Backwards compatible cannot take full advantage of the SSD.

Personally, Black Flag is still the goat for me. Then it's probably 2, and then Odyssey (I know, blasphemy). The only 2 AC games I haven't played are Origins and Valhalla. I'm excited to play Origins, as I hear some people think it's the best of the RPG trilogy. Odyssey did have a fair amount of filler, and was my only real complaint.
AC Odyssey felt higher than 60fps, twas super smooth. Hopefully this is the same. They just need to "port the same patch" to PS5. AC Syndicate have never had any issues on base PS4 except eYYp.
