This method creates the most use for the lights. 1. Make sure you measure from the center of the headlight to each passing lamp. Put a parallel vertical line on the way to use as your guide. 2. Adjust the left passing lamp so it shines just inside the left line on the wall and down a touch from the headlamp. Step Into the Light. Start by parking close to the projection surface, about 3 feet away. Use a vertical piece of tape to mark for the center of the vehicle on the wall, and then use the marker to find the center point of the headlights — sometimes there will be a small indicator on the glass already. Now measure how far from the ground the
STEP 4. At a distance of 25 feet away from the wall, mark the spot on the ground with a piece of tape using the measuring tape. Place the Ram in reverse so that the headlights align with the tape that is on the ground. The headlights should be turned on, and the hood should be propped open. STEP 5.
Ensure the headlamps are on a low beam. Use masking tape to mark the horizontal and vertical lines of the beam's centre axis as it shines on the vertical flat surface. The tapes should create a cross. Now measure the difference between the headlamps. Check the lines to see if both lights have the same measurement. Set the headlights leveling position to ”0” position and adjust the angle of the headlight axis. Hint: the h rh and h lh line is 0.4° Below the horizontal line (h line) of the light axis. Start the engine. Turn the headlights on. Check that the headlights properly strike the position shown in the illustration. Make a mark that you'll be able to see when your headlamps are turned off. Mark a second spot 2" below each of those you first marked. Back your vehicle to a distance of 25 feet from the vertical surface. With your headlight shining on the vertical surface, be sure the headlamps are focused halfway between the lower and upper marks you made.

With the headlights on turn the outer upper adjuster clockwise or counterclockwise. This will move the headlight beam up or down. Once this is centered in between the horizontal tape line, locate the innermost adjuster, then turn the adjuster to move the beam left or right. Make sure the beam is centered between the vertical and horizontal tape

The headlamps on your vehicle are properly aimed at the assembly plant. If your vehicle has been in an accident, the alignment of your headlamps should be checked by your authorized dealer. Vertical Aim Adjustment. 1. Park the vehicle directly in front of a wall or screen on a level surface, approximately 25 feet (7.6 meters) away. 31vKkW.
