Audi allroad - rear seat removal - how is the rear seat taken out? i've tried pulling up on it but i'm not sure that is the right way. i dont see any bolts holding it down. is it just clips holding it down? i dont want to break something. thanks Just jiggle as you insert removal tool. no force needed see the pic below. Using two trim removal tools on either side. Mine didn't pop right up and off, once there is a nice gap at the rear of the console just use your fingers and pull up. The whole thing hinges up from the cigarette lighter. 2 minutes to get the console up. Step 1 – Remove broken latch. Open up the armrest lid. In order to replace the broken latch, you'll first need to remove the back plate of the armrest. Start by prying up the bottom and the sides of the back plate. Be careful that you don't break the clips on the sides of the back plate. Don't try to pry the top of the back plate straight out
