Primarily I'm curious if it would be worth it, the Graphics is an Intel HD 400, which is built into the CPU, so it's an APU. It has 1.6GHZ dual Core, but can ramp up to 2.48GHZ and does so easily, is passively cooled and never gets that hot even under heavy use. The ram is a tad limited at 4GB, and is not expandable.

You should not need any extra cables or connectors. If you wanted to replace the caddy with an actual CD or DVD drive, you will most likely need to get a specific DzSCqVy.
