Remove the battery and try to turn on the laptop with just the ac adapter. If you get no power light.. nothing at all. Then you either have a bad ac adapter or a system board issue (bad dc jack or component on the board). If you get power light, but no post (i.e. nothing on the screen), then thats what you call a no post issue. Unfortunately this netbook only has a single speaker internally, not dual stereo speakers like most others do. You'll need to live with monaural sound or use headphones or plug your netbook's minijack output (the "headphone" jack) into a stereo or amp to output to 2+ speakers.
